Lester James Wright, murdered missionary.

Lester Wright grew up in Waukesha County, Wisconsin. This brief biography covers his family background, education, involvement with the Presbyterian Church, and his career change from UW faculty member in the School of Agriculture to foreign missionary. He was murdered by bandits in Syria in 1922 while aiding Greek and Armenian refugee children.
